What is "Community Acupuncture?"
Community acupuncture is a modern twist on a time honored concept. Historically in China, acupuncture was provided in a shared group setting. The community acupuncture model has emerged more recently within the United States as various communities have utilized it as an effective and efficient way to provide affordable healthcare. Each community acupuncture clinic is independently owned and uniquely designed. However, we all share one common goal: to improve health and wellbeing through offering sliding scale acupuncture treatments in a supportive community setting.
What Makes Us Unique?group setting
Our treatment rooms more closely resemble a living room than a medical office. This is on purpose! Our clinic consists of three different rooms where we treat one person or family group at a time. Our patients are treated in comfortable reclining chairs, and we also have one massage table for when being entirely on your back, front or side is what is most comfortable. At our clinic, you will never need to take off your clothes or expose yourself in any way. Most patients just roll up their sleeves and pant legs to receive treatment while fully clothed. Treating in a group setting has many benefits: it's easy for friends and family to come in for treatment together; many patients find it comforting; and a calm, relaxing atmosphere is established that actually makes each individual treatment stronger. sliding scale
Our regular sliding scale of $30-$60 dollars per treatment allows you to choose the payment amount that best fits into your life and your budget. We offer the most affordable sliding scale in south King County, without sacrificing quality of care. No matter what amount you pay, you will receive an acupuncture treatment that is uniquely designed for your specific health condition. The purpose of our sliding scale is to separate the issues of money and treatment. We do not ask for any sort of income verification. We want you to come in often enough to really get better and stay better! Frequent treatments

Sloth Around has been intentionally designed to best support our patients who have respiratory issues such as multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), asthma, allergies, lung disease, or who are immunocompromised due to illness or medication side effects. Our clinic uses several air purifiers, which remove common irritants such as pollens, molds, and germs from the air. We are a "scent free clinic," reminding all of our patients to avoid wearing scented products and intentionally selecting unscented cleaning products. Additionally, our reclining chairs were purchased new and have never been exposed to pets or second-hand smoke. We were the FIRST acupuncture clinic in Washington to become EnviroStars certified.
